5th Street: Empty space or magical place?
Looking at this one block section of SW 5th Street at Jose Marti Park, we see an amazing space.
LED BY COMMUNITY
Residents, frequent park users, community partners and local leaders have told us what they’d like to see happen on SW 5th Street and throughout Jose Marti Park. The park is currently cut in half by this uninviting stretch of street, but everyone wants to see a connected park and a more active and beautiful public space. Best of all, they’re ready to help make it all happen.
BE PART OF THE MAGIC
Together, we’re bringing new ideas for this space to life.
Starting in mid-October 2019, SW 5th Street will come alive with a variety of community and cultural activities for Little Havana residents and visitors. Join in on any of the activities below, or reach out to become more involved.
This project is made possible by generous support from Health Foundation of South Florida and Miami-Dade County District 5 Commissioner Eileen Higgins and in partnership with Live Healthy Little Havana, City of Miami District 3 Commissioner Joe Carollo, and Miami Center for Architecture & Design.
